Japan has of course the record for the biggest ever tea ceremony. But at Clay2day this year we are going to attempt the record for the biggest ever tea ceremony outside of Japan!
The biggest ever tea ceremony outside Japan is something that we need you to help out with! You'll be drinking macha tea and nibbling Japanese sweets with the help of artist Wali Hawes, the master of tea ceremonies!. He'll be starting both days at 11 o'clock and all you have to do is buy one of the tea bowls that have been specially made by a number of the Clay2day exhibitors. The price of the tea bowl is entirely up to you because Clay2day is going to donate the proceeds to a good cause in Japan! Obviously we'd like to raise as much money as possible but any amount, large or small, will be welcome.
