Introduction
Hilde Groen and Sarah Michael, both members of the NVK (Dutch ceramics association) have taken part in many ceramic markets over the years. Most often they had to travel to the East of the Netherlands because in the area where they live (suburbier Amsterdam) there were no "quality" markets. For this reason they decided in 2006 to organize a maket in their home area.
Helped and supported by many volunteers and friends Clay2day became a reality in the prestigious gardens of the Keukenhof Castle in Lisse.
Now the third Clay2day awaits. On the 28th May 2011 the castle gardens will again be blooming with beautiful artworks, stalls of hand-made ceramics, workshops and many other things to enjoy.

Clay2day is an unique event of superb International contempory ceramics to be held for the third time in the beautiful gardens of the Keukenhof castle in Lisse.
An open-air showcase of 50 of the most innovative ceramic artists coming from all over Europe. A chance to see emerging new talent along side the well established names. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist in person, maybe acquire some of their work and also have enough possibility to get involved in the making by participating in a number of workshops and demonstrations available.
